Cynefin: Wisdom from a Thousand Years of Welsh Nature Poetry

Writer and naturalist Carwyn Graves invites the audience to reimagine our relationship with the natural world through the Welsh poetic tradition. Drawing on a thousand years of poetry, Graves explores how Cynefin reveals a vision of nature not as a distant, pristine realm but as a shared human home bittersweet, generous and alive. At a time of biodiversity loss and climate grief, this rich and reflective talk offers fresh perspectives on place, belonging and how poetry can help us face the ecological challenges of our time.

Mae'r awdur a'r naturiaethwr Carwyn Graves yn gwahodd y gynulleidfa i ail-ddychmygu ein perthynas â'r byd naturiol drwy'r traddodiad barddonol Cymreig. Gan dynnu ar fil o flynyddoedd o farddoniaeth, mae Graves yn archwilio sut mae Cynefin yn datgelu gweledigaeth o natur nid fel teyrnas bell a chyntefig ond fel cartref dynol a rennir - chwerwfelys, hael a byw. Ar adeg o golli bioamrywiaeth a galar hinsawdd, mae'r sgwrs gyfoethog a myfyriol hon yn cynnig safbwyntiau newydd ar le, perthyn a sut y gall barddoniaeth ein helpu i wynebu heriau ecolegol ein hoes.
