‘Stories in stitch: the making of a community folk costume’

Calico Dress Cymru is a wearable artwork being embellished by people in Wales, responding to the question: what does Wales mean to you? The dress is the first of many calico garments being developed around the world, a legacy of the incredible Red Dress project by Kirstie Macleod.

Join Calico Dress Cymru lead artist Menna Buss as she shares insights from the development of a special collaborative artwork. Discover some of the many stories being told by participants through the language of embroidery!

‘Straeon mewn pwyth: creu gwisg werin gymunedol’

Mae Gwisg Calico Cymru yn waith celf gwisgadwy sy’n cael ei addurno gan bobl yng Nghymru, wedi eu hysbrydoli gan eu hymatebion i’r cwestiwn: ‘beth mae Cymru’n ei olygu i chi?’ Y ffrog yw’r cyntaf o lawer o ddillad calico sy’n cael eu datblygu ledled y byd, etifeddiaeth o’r prosiect anhygoel ‘Red Dress’ gan Kirstie Macleod.

Ymunwch â’r artist arweiniol Gwisg Calico Cymru, Menna Buss, wrth iddi rannu mewnwelediadau o ddatblygu gwaith celf cydweithredol arbennig. Darganfyddwch rai o’r straeon niferus sy’n cael eu hadrodd gan gyfranogwyr trwy iaith brodwaith!
